DESCRIPTION

The CM7 produces the kind of breathtakingly lifelike sound that can command any medium-sized to large room, thanks to the harmony of the relationship between its genuine three-way driver line-up and its first-order crossover.

The speaker features a single FST® driver, the outer edge of its distinctive Kevlar® cone supported by the characteristic compression surround, specially developed for outstanding midrange performance. High frequencies are handled superbly thanks to the CM7’s Nautilus™ tube-loaded aluminium dome tweeter.

The quality of CM Series drive units has made it possible to use minimalist crossovers throughout the whole range. The resulting gentle transition between drivers avoids the unnaturally rapid changes in dispersion that bedevil more complex designs, while the high quality components, carefully chosen after exhaustive listening tests, ensure that as little as possible gets between you and the sound of the original recording.

All CM Series speakers come with chrome driver trims. Grilles attach magnetically, so there are no unsightly grille-mounting features to spoil the clean lines of the speaker’s façade. For the finish, you can choose either one of two real-wood veneers in Rosenut or Wengé, or a highly polished gloss black.

Swedish Magazine, HiFi & Musik, Reviews the Harman Kardon HK990 and HD990

In the February 2009 issue of HiFi & Musik the Swedish magazine has reviewed the new Harman Kardon combination of the HK990 amplifier and the HD990 CD player.  The editors tested the products extensively and headlined their cover page "2 x 700 Watt, 168 ampere, Harman Kardon's Power Monster".

“This product is a fantastic combination.  The HK990 amplifier draws your attention with its incredible power and superb features.  And the HD990 represents itself as an ideal and inexpensive partner for the HK990 with its ability to work with the HSR sync signal connection.”
