DESCRIPTION

Proprietary cast-aluminium frame
The new frame provides enough strength to support the motor.  The vented architecture guarantees substantial cooling for increased reliability at continuous high listening levels.

Dual-stacked oversized magnets
The new GTO subwoofers are based on a solid low-Q motor structure, featuring two large magnets covered by the classic JBL rubber magnet-protection ring.

Improved power-handling capabilities
The new GTO subwoofers transform as much as 350W / 1400W (RMS / Peak) into pounding bass sound.

4-ohm single-voice-coil design
The new GTO subwoofers work perfectly together with both bridged full-range and mono subwoofer amplifiers.

Oversized hi-roll rubber surrounds
The large size of the roll has been optimised to deliver maximum cone area while providing excellent cone-edge suspension and long-throw linearity with the proper amount of control and stability at excursion limits.

Progressive spider
Each GTO subwoofer features a progressive spider, which provides better control at excursion limits than a linear spider.  The benefit is reduced distortion at high output levels.

Gadget Guy Reviews Harman Kardon's AVR 660

"Yes, I know it claims a mere 75 watts for its channels, but unlike most brands, that is 75 watts from all seven channels at the same time. Generally brands base their power figures on only two channels running. You are unlikely to find either a set of loudspeakers or a volume level that will trouble this receiver."
