Bowers & Wilkins 685 Wins 'Best Stereo Speakers'
The brilliant 685 Bookshelf Speaker from Bowers & Wilkins has swept aside the competition to win a prestigious local award.
Australian magazine Smarthouse has named Bowers & Wilkins 685 'Best Stereo Speaker' in their annual Trio Awards 2009.
Smarthouse described the speakers as "an incredible set that produce audio on-par with their far more expensive brethren."
The editor goes on to say "The nautilus tube loaded tweeter delivers detail with precision and fro a set of stereo speakers they deliver a remarkable level of bass without getting muddy".
The 2009 Trio Award is the latest in a string of honours that have been bestowed upon the 685 Bookshelf Speaker.
The 685 was named 'Best Product - Compact Loudspeaker' in the prestigious EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) awards in 2007. Similarly, in 2008 UK publication What HiFi? named the 685 as 'Product of the Year' for the second year running.
