Scandinavia Magazine Reviews the Harman Kardon AVR255

HemmaBio, Scandinavia's largest home-theatre magazine, conducted an AV receiver test with six new AVRs, including the Harman Kardon AVR255.  Thanks to its exceptional performance, the AVR255 gained the maximum number of points in sound quality for music and movies, leaving competitors like Pioneer, Sony, Yamaha, Onkyo and Tangent behind.

"The new Harman Kardon design looks truly fresh, and the construction is high quality.  There are lots of handy adjustments that you only have to perform once - then turn on the amplifier and the receiver will effortlessly do its job.  On top of this, the menus are the most impressive I have experienced in a long time.

Soundwise, the AVR255 provides maximum sound for the money, with a satisfying sound whether it comes from a fine classical recording or an action-packed Blu-ray Disc movie.  The soundstage is large and well defined, and the auto calibration works consistently without any problems.

The Harman Kardon AVR255 is the winner of this test report, thanks to its outstanding sound quality, separate picture adjustments for each of the HDMI inputs is a bonus."
